Restylane injections are approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and are made with a synthetic version of the body's natural hyaluronic acid (HA) to replenish the skin and increase volume. Dr. Bridges can usually perform Restylane injections the same day as the patient's initial consultation, and improve lines and wrinkles on the face for up to 1 year. Restylane fillers (each with their own thickness and dosage strength) are highly localized, so it can be used to treat small, precise areas without spreading outside the desired area. If you are 21-years-old or older, and would like to learn more about the fantastic results of our Restylane injectables, please contact our office to schedule an appointment at your earliest convenience. We look forward to exploring with you all our facial rejuvenation treatments without surgery, and provide you with natural-looking results.

Our Restylane Products

Restylane

In your private consultation with Dr. Bridges, you will discuss many factors when deciding on the right Restylane filler for you. Restylane injections are made of hyaluronic acid (HA), and infused with lidocaine to make the treatment more comfortable when filling in your (moderate to severe) facial wrinkles and folds around the mouth and nose. In some cases, it can also be used to augment the lips.

Restylane Silk

We can use Restylane Silk for our patients wanting fuller, sensual lips, and the smoothing out of the lines surrounding the mouth. Restylane Silk, which is a less-dense formulation of Restylane, is great for augmenting the lips to plump your pout when there is volume loss, or naturally thin lips. It is also known as a long-lasting filler, and can last up to a year.

Restylane Lyft

Patients with wrinkles, worry lines, smile lines, crow’s feet, cheek depressions and smoker’s lines use Restylane Lyft. Our patients also use Restylane Lyft for lip enhancement, chin augmentation, redefining lip borders, and softening acne scars. Less common uses for Restylane Lyft injections include: filling in the hollows under the eyes, creating a temporary brow lift, and softening the appearance of jowls.

Restylane Defyne

Many patients worry that injectable fillers will make their face look frozen or expressionless. It is our business to make sure you leave our office looking natural (yet improved), able to move your facial features, and not look overdone. Restylane Defyne injections, (with XpresHAn Technology™) give your face subtle, softer improvements within the deep nasolabial folds and marionette lines. These injections are given at mid-to-deep levels.

Administering Restylane

During your appointment, the areas of the injection sites will be marked and thoroughly cleaned prior to the treatment. With the comfort of local anesthesia, the Restylane filler will be injected into the skin using a fine needle where added volume is desired. After each injection, light pressure and a cooling ointment are applied. Other than feeling a tingling sensation and some visible redness in the areas of the injections, there are usually no other side effects. Most patients are able to return to work with no downtime after their 15 – 30 minute Restylane procedure.

What to Expect

The results following a Restylane injection will be seen immediately and can last up to a full year. Patients are generally thrilled with the fast-acting, visible results that the injections provide. Our plastic surgeon will not perform these injection on skin that is broken out with acne, sores, or a skin infection as this can cause a painful reaction in your skin and make it worse. You should also talk to our plastic surgeon about other nonsurgical facial rejuvenation treatment you would like to have on your face, such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and more, so that you can avoid unnecessary inflammation in your facial skin. The Restylane shots alongside a facial skin treatment could cause unwanted side effects.

You should not use Restylane if you have severe allergies, a bleeding disorder, allergy to lidocaine, a history of terrible scarring, or using medication to support your immune system. Also. if you are breastfeeding, pregnant, or think you could be pregnant, you should not have Restylane injections.

Alternative Fillers

While Restylane offers great benefits for patients seeking skin rejuvenation, there are other injectable fillers that may be considered as well. Some of these are comprised of materials such as collagen, polylactic acid, and calcium hydroxyapatite. During your consultation, we will discuss the various fillers that are available today and work with you to understand your aesthetic goals so that the best filler choice can be made.

Anticipated COsts

The average cost for a syringe of Restylane is approximately $650, although this price may vary. The overall cost will be determined based upon how large an area is being treated, and the extent of wrinkles and lines being addressed.

Restylane FAQs

Best Filler for Lips?

Restylane is one the more popular dermal fillers used to add volume to the lips. Patients must be 21 years of age to receive this injection. Lip enhancement results using Restylane typically last up to 6 months.

Best Place for Restylane?

A Restylane injection replaces lost volume on the face and can be used to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles most commonly found from the nose to the mouth. These are known as nasolabial folds and laugh lines. The injection is also commonly used around the corners of the mouth that extend downward.

How Often Do I Treat Myself?

Most results will last a full year, however some patients may choose to return between 5 – 9 months for a follow-up injection, which is safe to have another injection at that time. Our office can set you up on a treatment regime so that the results remain optimal throughout the weeks and months following each session.
